Nanowrimo Day 2

And another couple of thousand words posted. My master document is 5100 words long, 17 double-spaced pages of 12-pt. text (12 of 10-pt. text). And it feels like a story is starting to take shape! I like my title, although I can't decide whether it's Mix Tapes for Boys and Girls or Making Mix Tapes for Boys and Girls.

I'm writing a novel!

When I logged my first bit of my novel on the Nanowrimo site today, I counted about 2100 words. They counted 3400. I wonder why. They seem to be overwhelmed with traffic today.
